Download the DMG File
You should have received a download link via email. Click the link to download Ghost-CMS-Manager-mac-arm64.dmg (approximately 143 MB).

Open the DMG File
Once downloaded, locate the DMG file in your Downloads folder and double-click to open it.
A new window will appear showing the Ghost CMS Manager app icon and an Applications folder shortcut.

Drag to Applications
Drag the Ghost CMS Manager icon to the Applications folder.
This will copy the app to your Applications folder where all your Mac apps are stored.

Eject the DMG
After copying, you can eject the DMG by:
- Right-clicking the DMG icon on your desktop and selecting "Eject"
- Or dragging the DMG icon to the Trash

Launch Ghost CMS Manager
Open your Applications folder and double-click Ghost CMS Manager.
⚠️ First Launch Security Warning
If you see a message saying "Ghost CMS Manager cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer", follow these steps:
- Click OK to dismiss the warning
- Open System Settings (or System Preferences)
- Go to Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to find the message about Ghost CMS Manager
- Click Open Anyway
- Confirm by clicking Open in the dialog
✅ App is Notarized
Ghost CMS Manager is notarized by Apple and code-signed. The security warning only appears on first launch because the app was downloaded from the internet.

Configure Your Settings
On first launch, you'll need to configure:
- Ghost Admin URL - Your Ghost site's admin URL (e.g., https://yourblog.com/ghost)
- Admin API Key - Generate this from your Ghost Admin → Integrations
The app will securely store these credentials locally on your Mac.

You're all set! Ghost CMS Manager is now installed and ready to use. You can start managing your Ghost blog content, members, and newsletters.
💡 System Requirements
- macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or later
- Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3) Mac
- ~200 MB free disk space
- Internet connection for Ghost API access
Troubleshooting
App won't open after installation:
- Make sure you followed the "Open Anyway" steps in System Settings
- Try right-clicking the app and selecting "Open" instead of double-clicking
App crashes on launch:
- Make sure you're running macOS 10.12 or later
- Try deleting the app and reinstalling
Can't connect to Ghost:
- Verify your Ghost Admin URL is correct (should end with /ghost)
- Check that your Admin API Key is valid
- Ensure your Ghost site is accessible from your network
